Beschreibung: The parade waits to move off from Chamberlain Square. It includes a US Army colour party with one man dressed as 'Uncle Sam'. A banner proclaiming "Win The War Day" is draped over the Town Hall. The parade as it starts includes sailors, a single Boy Scout, a Mark V Male Tank, an Army contingent, a French Army contingent, and four "Old Contemptibles" from the BEF of 1914. These are followed by more sailors and by munitions workers of the area, including women. Tractors carry the guns made in the area (an Australian soldier watching blocks the camera for a moment), a 9.2-inch howitzer is pulled by a traction engine and a 6-inch 26cwt howitzer of Coventry Ordnance Ltd is carried by a Maudslay lorry. The captions suggest that the film shows the destruction of the Turkish forces in September. The first scene is of British soldiers detraining from cattle trucks at Ludd station on 5th May. 2nd Battalion, the London Scottish enters Es Salt in April. Another British battalion on its way to Es Salt. British troops escort Turkish prisoners of war out of Es Salt. A portrait shot of General Sir Edmund Allenby, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Expeditionary Force.A British Army band leads the Italians, who are not playing their instruments, through the streets crowded with cheering civilians.
